Evidenced by His resurrection, His love endures forever. Give thanks, for His love endures forever. Are we living as the resurrection or satisfied with something less?

Out of God’s unfailing love for us He rescues us and delivers us from our afflictions. In our affliction do we see God as our rescuer or do we run to others to help us in our time of need?

We know brokenness. God restores the joy brokenness once shrouded and welcomes us into a renewed life. Once again God delights over us and our joy is restored. Has God renewed your joy or has brokenness clouded the journey?

God is a God who forgives, offering us a way to redemption on this journey. We are invited to be active participants in the reconciling work God is doing in us and through us on this journey. Will we come and receive this forgiveness?

What satisfies us? Choosing to be satisfied by something or someone other than God will leave us dry and barren, searching for more. God satisfies our deepest needs. Will we trust Him on this journey?

Guided Journey: Trusting the Leader. We can trust God to guide us on this journey. His goodness awaits our presence. Will we choose to trust God, who calls us into intimate covenant relationship?

Guided Journey: Trusting the Leader. Psalms give us a picture of who God is and what He invites us into. He is a God who offers shelter and protection on this journey. Are we looking for shelter and protection from something or someone other than God?

The new covenant (Jesus) offers us a pathway into the presence of God- to be near Him, to know Him and for our identity to be spoken over us. Will we walk with Him, practicing the presence, on this journey?

Part of preparing for the journey is knowing that there will be trials and we will face troubles, but we can take heart because Jesus has overcome the world. Unpacking our identity in preparation to walk with Jesus is character forming. Will we walk with Him, allowing the trials to shape our character, on this journey?

We have been given identity and called to a Kingdom mission. By God’s grace and mercy we can live out what He has called us into. Will we walk with Him, living out our calling, on this journey?

We are called to this journey not because we’re qualified, but because of our identity. The same God who created us and spoke our identity into us also calls us and forms us into maturity. Will we walk with Him, accepting our calling, on this journey? https://www.seedsofhope.me

Like Jesus, our mission comes out of our identity and our fulfillment of the mission flows out of that identity. His Word instructs us, His Spirit to empowers us. Will we walk with Him, led by Word and Spirit, on this journey?

God is a God of abundance. He has spoken identity into us and formed us with specific, unique, giftings in preparation for the journey He has invited us to. God does not call the equipped, He equips the called. And He delights when we walk in the giftings He has given us. Will we walk with Him, exercising the good gifts He has given?

God speaks His identity into us. He has created us, called us, redeemed us, and empowered us with His Spirit to walk with Him, live for Him. God has prepared a way for us to journey with His son, Jesus. Will we walk with Him, in an identity spoken by Him?

It’s time to review the year, prayerfully look ahead, and attend to those necessary goodbyes and make some room to welcome the needed hellos. How do we even begin to make sense of a whole year? 525,600 minutes. 365 days. 52 weeks. 12 months. 4 quarters. In all of these there are highs and lows, victories and defeats, great experiences and traumatic ones. Through it all, God desires to be with us. He gives us echoes of His presence all throughout the year; do we hear them? Are we paying attention? Do we desire to give Jesus access to all 525,600 minutes of our year to come?

Looking back at the ways God showed up and spoke to us in the past year helps us trust Him for whatever we face in the coming year. Reflecting lets us recognize the incredible faithfulness and goodness of God - something worth celebrating!

At Christmas we tend to focus on all the fun, exciting and celebratory moments of the season, even while pain, hurt, and sorrow may exist. It would be easy to push aside those things for the sake of the season but God offers the gift of comfort, healing, and peace. This Advent season are we willing to be honest about our hurts, bringing them before Christ, and accept His love, care, and compassion so we might find healing and restoration?

Joy comes in the presence of God (Ps. 30, 16). The good news of the gospel John exhorts (Luke 3:18) is the presence of God with us, Emmanuel (Jesus). We can have joy now because God has promised redemption and reconciliation. Happiness is dependent on circumstances, Joy comes from God. This Advent season, does your joy overflow to your circumstances or do your circumstances dim your joy?

In the context of 1st century Israel, fear and anxiety is the reality of everyday life. God desires to work through Zacharias and Elizabeth to prepare the way of the Lord. Their son, John lives a unique life, unbothered by the fear and anxiety of the present day. He is completely committed to the mission God has designed, making the present temporary and the eternal primary. This Advent season, do we recognize that peace is not the result of a world without chaos, but rather a deep trust in the God who prepares the way?
